As Executive Director of the MIT Hong Kong Innovation Node, Charleston Sin leads the effort to organize, champion, and advocate for innovation in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area. As a 25-year veteran of the Information technology and telecommunications industry, he now unites his passion for education with innovation & technology, encouraging disruptive application of new technology in the local community and beyond.

Prior to joining MIT, Sin held executive positions in Research & Development, Product Management, and Sales & Marketing at VMware, Cisco Systems, and Nortel Networks in United States, Canada, Asia Pacific, and Greater China. His primary interests lie in key market transition trends, including Fintech, Blockchain, Cloud Computing, Mobility, IOT, Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, and new business models. Sin received his PhD in Management Sciences at The University of Waterloo. He also holds a master’s degree in Investment Management at the HKUST. Currently, he is member of the board of director of Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company.

Dr. Chau is currently the Head of Security Special Projects at Crypto.com, responsible for the APAC privacy program and leading multiple blockchain-related security projects. Before joining Crypto.com, she was the director of Hong Kong, Macao, and Cross-border Financial Affairs at Tencent. She brought in academic/industry collaborations and led Tencent Finance Academy's growth, and played an integral role in helping Fusion Bank launch in Hong Kong. She was responsible for strategic projects on blockchain, cross-border financial products, FinTech policy advice, and government affairs at Tencent and Fusion. Before joining Tencent, she was a Senior Lecturer at the HK Baptist University (HKBU), within the School of Business. She has founded the Master in Finance (FinTech and Financial Analytics) and became the first program director. With over ten years in this space, Dr. Chau is a seasoned FinTech professional with a strong reputation in both industry and academic. She is the official member of the Forbes Finance Council and was inducted as a Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP) by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). Dr. Chau also serves in different working groups of the HKSAR Financial Services Development Council, working on influential policy recommendation proposals related to CBDC, Hong Kong as a Data Hub, Cybersecurity, Fintech Talent Development, and more.

Emil is a FinTech evangelist with over 20 years experience in managing IT and business transformation projects in international financial institutions. He had worked for several sizeable international banks including Credit Suisse and BayernLB as the roles of First Vice President, Head of IT in Asia Pacific, Project Director and Operations Manager AP. He has extensive experience in both Business and IT consulting encompassing the design, setup, leading and managing of cross-border projects throughout Asia. He is the adjunct professor, visiting lecturer as well as advisor of various departments of local universities including HKU, PolyU, CityU, Hang Seng U, Lingnan U and VTC.

In the past 10 years, he participated actively in voluntary community services in related to popular adoption of technology. He is the Founding Chairman of the Association of Cloud and Mobile Computing Professionals, The FinTech Committee Chairman of the Smart City Consortium, Hon. Secretary and Board Member of Invotech, Vice Chairman of Hong Kong New Emerging Technology Education Association, Supervisory Committee Member of iProA and the Honorary Chairman of StartHK. He is a mentor of the HK Cyberport Mentors Network, Guangzhou CP-Nest Incubator of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chief Judge of the HK ICT Startup Award 2019. In order to unleash Hong Kong's potential and play a new role in the Greater Bay Area, Emil also hosts seminars, delivers public speeches and publishes articles of FinTech related topics on local newspapers and interviewed by various media from time to time.

Eric Chan is the Chief Public Mission Officer of Hong Kong Cyberport. Ir. Chan oversees the ecosystem dedicated to cultivating start-ups and inspiring the next generation through nurturing the entrepreneurial spirit, empowering global ambition, and providing comprehensive entrepreneurship programmes and early stage funding.

Ir. Chan has 32 years of experience in the ICT industry, and is a chartered engineer, a chartered marketer and a fellow of the Institution of Engineering & Technology (UK). Prior to joining Cyberport, he was a Director of HGC Global Communication; and held various senior positions in global telecom and IT services companies. Ir. Chan has been active in public services, especially in education and industrial training, professional bodies and charitable organisations.

Ir. Chan holds a BSc. (Hon) degree in Engineering from University of London, a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Manchester Business School, and received Executive Education from INSEAD and IESE business schools.

Raymond Chan is now CEO & Director of Metaverse Securities Limited, a subsidiary of 9F Inc (NASDAQ: JFU). He was first appointed as Managing Director of Ether Global (formerly known as 9F International) in October 2018 and is responsible for applying financial and virtual bank licenses in Hong Kong, Singapore, Lithuania and China. He is also responsible for “Tech Enabling” businesses in Hong Kong and Southeast Asia markets. In October 2019, Raymond was also appointed the General Manager of Niche Global Fintech, a subsidiary of 9F, and is responsible for applying Electronic Money Institution (EMI) licence and related business and operations in EU Area. In 2020, Raymond was selected “Leader of the Year” by IFTA.

Raymond is well-known as the founder of the first virtual banking, inMotion of CITIC Bank International, launched in Hong Kong before any virtual bank licenses was issued. In 2017, he led the Bank to successfully obtain HKMA’s approval of eKYC and changes of related laws to make it possible. His contributions enable the first ever remote account opening in Hong Kong to accomplish without branch visits, wet signatures and address proofs.

Raymond has been working in the banking industry for more than 25 years and holding management positions in major banks. Before joining 9F, he was General Manager of China CITIC Bank International and Head of Marketing of ICBC (Asia). His career covers all areas in banking including head of e-Business, Marketing, Branch Network, Call Centre, Sales & Distribution, operations and technical services from HSBC, Standard Chartered, ICBC to CITIC.

Cindy Chow has been the Executive Director of the Alibaba Entrepreneurs Fund since 2015. The Fund’s mission is to help Hong Kong-based entrepreneurs and young people realize their dreams and visions for their businesses and communities. To fulfil this mission, the Fund invests into startup companies and organises various activities to bolster innovation and entrepreneurship.

Cindy joined Alibaba Group in 2007 and has worked in the financial control and planning capacity, most recently as the Senior Director of International Finance until she assumes her current role. Before joining Alibaba, Cindy has worked in a number of Hong Kong listed companies, specialising in financing, and management reporting and planning.

Cindy holds a Master of Business Administration and is a certified public accountant. She is a member of the Committee on Innovation, Technology and Re-industrialisation and the Standing Committee on Language Education and Research of the HK SAR Government, the Chairperson of Cyberport Investor Network, a member of the Vice-Chancellor’s Global Alumni Board of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, a member of HKUST Business School Accounting Advisory Board, an advisor of Our Hong Kong Foundation and more. Through different initiatives launched by the Fund and in her own capacity, Cindy aspires to help entrepreneurs and young people to realise their dreams for a better community.

Juni is a high tech industry veteran with more than 25 years’ experience. Prior to WeBank, Juni has taken up various leadership roles, incl. Global VP of the Transport, Logistics and Automotive Industries and VP for Security in Asia, Middle East and Africa (AMEA) in BT Global Services; Managing Director for Hong Kong and Taiwan at F5 Networks; as well as different sales leadership roles in the SaaS and Application Business Units during her 15 years of tenure in Oracle.

Earlier in her career, Juni worked in the Strategy Consultancy at Arthur Andersen Business Consulting advising clients on strategic decisions, ranging from China entry strategy, product and marketing strategy, to e-business strategy.
